Lisa Blas, PT, OCS, Cert. MDT is from Pendleton, NY and is the founder and owner of Advantage Physical Therapy which opened in January of 2002. She graduated from Daemen College in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. Lisa is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OSC) and certified in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine (Cert. MDT) through the McKenzie institute. She has over eleven years of proven outpatient orthopedic experience. She is involved with many charitable organizations in Niagara County. Outside of work she enjoys time spent with her husband Mike and two children Kayla and Luke. They enjoy attending local sporting events, time with family, friends and their three dogs.
Nadia A. Nava, PT, MS, DPT joined the staff at Advantage Physical Therapy in April 2004. She is a Buffalo native, where she attended D'Youville College and received a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999, while also playing collegiate level volleyball. In May 2004, Nadia earned her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College. She has spent the past nine years working in orthopedic settings and her postgraduate training includes courses in manual techniques for joint mobilization and myofacial release. Nadia speaks fluent Spanish. Nadia and her husband reside in Lockport with their two dogs. Outside of work she enjoys playing volleyball, golfing and traveling.
Terri Miller, MSPT, ATC joined the staff at Advantage Physical Therapy in March 2007. She graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester with a BS in Biology while playing college basketball for four years. In 1992 she graduated from D'Youville College with a MSPT degree, while obtaining her Athletic Training certification. She has worked for many years in orthopedic settings as well as doing Athletic Training in the high school setting. She enjoys spending time with her two children Emily and Zachary and her husband Tim while residing in Pendleton, NY.
Shelley Jessup, PT, DPT joined Advantage Physical Therapy in 2007. Shelley is a Lockport native and attended the University of Buffalo. She received a doctorate in Physical Therapy with a minor in exercise physiology in 2007. Shelley did a 12 week student clinical with Advantage Physical Therapy a year ago and has returned to work as a clinician. In her spare time she enjoys sports, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kelsey Comstock, PTA joined Advantage Physical Therapy in 2003. Kelsey graduated from Niagara County Community College with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 1992. She has a bachelors of arts in dance from Southern Methodist University. She is a Lockport native and is very involved with in her community. She is a certified pilates instructor as well as personal trainer. Kelsey lives in Lockport with her husband, Gary, daughter, Kimberlyn and dog Scooter.
Danielle Parker, PTA joined Advantage Physical Therapy in 2006. She has over 8 years of experience since graduating from Niagara County Community College in 1998. She has clinical experience with cranial sacral therapy as well as multiple joint mobilization techniques. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Oswego State College. She is a level 1 hockey coach for children ages 3 and up for the Grand Niagara Hockey program. In her spare time she enjoys boating, golfing, reading and spending time with her husband and son.
Eleanor Zaepfel, PTA joined Advantage Physical Therapy in August 2008. She graduated from Genesee Community College in Batavia with a Physical Therapy Assistant Degree in 2008. At Genesee she also received an A.A.S. Degree in health and fitness, while participating on the swim team and other club events. She is a certified lifeguard and coaching instructor as well as SAVE and Drug/Alcohol abuse. In her spare time she enjoys boating, swimming, golfing, running and spending time with her family and friends.
Rachel Kroening, Physical Therapy Aide joined the staff in August 2006. She is a graduate of Lynchburg College where she received a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. In the fall of 2008 she will begin to further her education in becoming a physical therapist. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing, shopping, and playing sports.
Marissa Bechtold, Physical Therapy Aide joined the office in May 2007. Graduate of SUNY Cortland with a Kinesology degree and a concentration in Fitness Development. Marissa volunteers at the hospital in their Cardiac Rehab Department. In the fall of 2008 she will begin to further her education in becoming a physical therapist. She enjoys playing sports, especially swimming. She also enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with family and friends.
Emily Hayden, Physical Therapy Aide joined the staff in October 2005. She is currently enrolled at Nazareth College of Rochester in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Emily has volunteered over one thousand hours to various organizations. During her breaks from college, she enjoys working with Advantage Physical Therapy. In her free time, she spends time with her family and friends and likes to ski, shop, travel and relax at the lake.
Julie Buerger, Physical therapy Aide joined the staff in February 2007. She is graduating from Lockport High School and plans to enter Nazareth College for Physical Therapy in the fall. She enjoys dancing and skiing and is also employed at Frey's Tasty Treat in Lockport.
John Arlington, Physical therapy Aide joined the staff in fall of 2007. He currently attends University at Buffalo and is in the DPT program. In his spare time he enjoys snowboarding and other athletic activities.
Rosealin Heinemann, MA, ATC joined the staff at Advantage Physical Therapy in September 2008. She graduated from SUNY Brockport with a BS in Athletic Training while playing college basketball for two years. In 2006 she graduated from Western Michigan University with a MA degree in Athletic Training. She is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at Lockport High school and takes care of all the athletic teams there. She enjoys spending time with her husband Bill while residing in Lockport, NY.
Annette Biondo, RN, Office Manager joined the staff of Advantage Physical Therapy since its inception in January 2002. She is a graduate of Trocaire College in nursing. She has worked in direct patient care, patient management services and utilization review. She has prior work experience in supervision, insurance claims and insurance reviews. She has two grown children, Lisa Blas owner of Advantage Physical Therapy and Joelle Biondo, who resides in Chicago. Annette and her husband Joe live in Pendleton. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, walking and spending time with her two beautiful grandchildren.
Julie Finley, Patient Representative. Julie just joined Advantage Physical Therapy in mid-December 2006. After being involved in a car accident herself, she knows how vital PT is to recovery. She has a B.S. from Buffalo State College, holds a commercial real estate license and is a Notary Public. Julie has 15+ years experience in the customer service industry. She spends her free time with her husband, Joe and their 3 children. She also enjoys collecting antique toys and cheering on the Buffalo Sabres!
Amy Greenwald, receptionist who joined the staff of Advantage Physical Therapy in April 2007. A graduate of Wilson Central High School and Piccolo School of Hair Design, she has been a hair stylist for 20 years. Amy is an avid gardener and has assisted in the development of the Barker Garden Club. She is very involved with her church, Victory Christian Center. Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim and her two children, Erin and Ethan.
Barb Bova, joined the staff in 2005. She enjoys time spent with her husband, three sons and her new grandson, Landon. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and drinking wine. |
